About me

I am bilingual Dutch-German. Till July o6 I worked as translator and interpreter, besides I was a lecturer for Dutch at the academy of economics Aachen/Germany. Then we moved to New York, and I stopped my teaching activities in Germany. I am now working as a freelance translator for translation agencies in Slovakia, Germany and in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

I am a specialist in translation of legal and business topics. The former includes contracts of all kinds, including inheritance and insurance contracts, social security, court verdicts, and the correspondence between parties involved in these issues. Business issues deal primarily with the functional areas marketing, public relations, and product development.

Education

After having attended elementary school (1963 to 1966) and grammar school (1966 to 1976) I finished my studies at the University of Münster/Germany (1976 to 1986) with the Staatsexamen Dutch and German. Furthermore I obtained a Magister degree in European Studies in 1996 at the University of Aachen, involving the fields of economics, politics and European jurisprudence.

Experience

Some of my main projects were proposals to the EEG, contracts between Dutch and German health insurances (CZ; AOK Rheinland), and technical drawings and the corresponding notes.
